The Future name and brand was established in Los Angeles, CA as a Summer AAU Club team for a group of underrated, underprivileged athletes eager for development to compete against the nations best.
The FAB4 (Josh Green, Terrell Burnett, Jermaine Dansby and Melvin Williams) continued to compete on Team Future in summer events over the next few years, then teamed-up to form a super high school team that turned heads.
Earning college scholarships for all 4 players, and setting the foundation and reputation of the Future Brand.
In 2011, the Future Brand transitioned to compete as an independent post-graduate (5th year) program. Competing nationally against top prep schools like Oak Hill Academy (VA), and Findlay Prep (NV).
Resulting in 12 players signing Full College Scholarships.
Future College Prep went on to capture 3 straight conference championships (2011, 2012, 2013), 2-straight nationally leading win records (2012-13 52 wins, 2012-14 72 wins). Making national news by defeating #1 Findlay Prep and having over 30 players sign full college scholarships.
Memorable experiences an FCP student-athlete receives is opportunities to play in NBA arenas like the Staples Center/Crypto.com Arena, The Jordan Hangar, and at the world-famous IMG Academy in Florida.
The Alumni Game has been a program staple, and has evolved into an annual tradition to jump-start the season. Former players coming back to educate the current players has been a huge culture builder for the Future brand.
